Jade Webb will talk about the Ins and Outs of Promotion
Author websites can be intimidating. What do you even put? To blog or not to blog? How do you make your website consistent with your brand and convert your website visitors into future readers? In this workshop, we will tackle the basics and break down the 10 things every author website needs. If you are a brand-new author with nothing yet published or a New York Times bestseller with a backlist of a hundred titles, you will still need to make sure your website has these ten basic foundational things in order to make your website become your number one marketing tool. Facebook, Twitter and Instagram are great, but at the end of the day they are all platforms owned by other companies. Your author website? You control that 100%. Make sure you have fully optimized it to be the best it can be. You will walk away from this dynamic workshop with knowledge (and amazing handouts!) to help you confidently venture forth to improve your website in a way that feels achievable and realistic. No need to be the Queen of HTML- the steps I offer you are already integrated within most of the major platforms like WordPress, SquareSpace and Wix. Come prepared with questions and get ready to explore your techy side!
Speaker Bio:
Jade Webb has loved romance novels since she was a teen, sneaking them into her Bible studies at her all-girls Catholic school. She loves strong heroines who know that the men that may come into their lives are always the icing, and never the cake.
Thanks to her own marriage, she has learned that the challenges of life can only help to make love stronger and is grateful to her partner for embodying all the magic that love can offer.
When Jade is not writing or dreaming up new love stories, she is working in a retirement community outside of Boston that provides her with enough writing material for ten lifetimes.
Jade is a proud member of Rhode Island Romance Writers and the New England Chapter of Romance Writersof America.
