Nov. 6th, 2021 Tracey Townsend: Writing for Deep POV

Writing deep point of view can be a challenge, especially when you know so much more about what’s happening than your characters. If you’ve ever been critiqued for “head hopping” or “perspective surfing,” this is a conversation you want to be part of. Find your voice and keep wandering gazes and ideas where they belong in this informative, engaging workshop!

Tracy Townsend is the author of The Nine and The Fall (books 1 and 2 in the Thieves of Fate series), co-host of The Functional Nerds podcast, a columnist for the feminist sf magazine Luna Station Quarterly, and an essayist for Uncanny Magazine. She teaches creative writing and science fiction and fantasy literature at the Illinois Mathematics and Science Academy. She has been a martial arts instructor, a stage combat and accent coach, and a short-order cook for houses full of tired gamers. Now she lives in Bolingbrook, Illinois with two bumptious hounds, one goblin cat, two remarkable children, and one very patient husband.
