Blanche Marriott on Recordkeeping, Taxes, and the Business of Writing

In this workshop, Blanche will present tips for keeping records to make tax return time less stressful and what items are considered expenses for writers. She will also discuss the pros and cons of a writer becoming a business. Her 12 years of experience as a senior bookkeeper and payroll specialist at two CPA firms led her to start her own bookkeeping/payroll business.

Blanche has published 3 sweet romance novels with the former Avalon Books, now Montlake Publishing, an arm of Amazon.  WAY OUT WEST won the NJRW Golden Leaf Award as well as finaling in the HOLT Medallion Awards.  KALEIDOSCOPE won 2nd place in the WisRWA Write Touch Readers’ Award.

In 2011 she took the leap to self-pubbing with HIS BROTHER’S BABY, and ONE MORE NIGHT, a couple of “not so sweet” romances, as well as SAY YES, SARAH, another sweet romance.  In addition, she published a humorous short non-fiction, BORN TO BITCH.
