Speaker’s Bio: Daniel David Wallace is a writer, teacher, PhD researcher, and book editor. He creates easy-to-implement techniques that help you master the craft of fiction.
He has given lectures on plot at the AWP conference and other writing festivals around the US, and his work has been read at the Iowa Writers Workshop. His fiction has won the Hodges prize, the Toni Brown scholarship, and he has published short stories and essays in many journals. In his regular life, he teaches advanced writing skills at a great university.
Since he started teaching online, he has worked with hundreds of writers as a coach and teacher. He is also the creator of “character first” writing, a plotting approach that helps writers build a strong connection between the protagonist and the reader.
