Meeting: October 7, 2017

YOUR INVITED TO A Literary Autopsy— by Arlene Kay

Attention all Literati, Glitterati, bibliophiles and fellow travelers:

Have you ever wondered what components make a novel unforgettable?

Please join me on October 7th at the Cumberland, Rhode Island library as we conduct a LITERARY AUTOPSY of some of your favorite works. This event, hosted by the Rhode Island Romance Writers, will plumb the depths of plot, character, pace, dialogue and crimes against the English language, with a maximum of fun and a minimum of gore. As writers, we sometimes wonder WHY a particular novel zooms to the best seller list or drops like a stone. So put on your CSI hat and come prepared to analyze, speculate, and LEARN. At the request of your chapter, I will use OBSESSION IN DEATH by JD Robb as one of my examples. However our discussion will include a wide range of other favorites as well.

Come join the fun!!
